Well that’s just dumb. Just shows how much markup they have on the sensors AND service.
I have really enjoyed using Arccos over the last year with the Apple Watch and phone apps. The sensors work great 98% of the time. The app has a great integration with posting to GHIN as well. It’s a shame that it’s cheaper to buy new hardware with the included subscription rather than only spending on software.
I mean i got sensors for free only had to pay $12.99 for shipping………

My guess would be you would have to create a brand new account, losing all your previous data in the process.
So glad I got in early. Bought the sensors 8ish years ago for $300 but don’t pay the yearly.
Or just buy a device that doesn’t need a subscription.

Yeh i really like arcos, but at 200 a year I think I’ma look at a Garmin watch with their free app.
Guess I’m switching to a garmin watch, or maybe a decent range finder.
$200 will be a no brainer non renewal for me. I don’t care if I have over 105 rounds with them or not.

Garmin CT10 any day. No subscription fee. Unfortunately does need a Garmin watch though.

Arccos is a good product. It does what it aims to well. If I could golf all year I would happily pay the sub, but I can’t so I switched to shotscope which is also a product that delivers exactly what it aims to and does it well.
If Arccos offered a monthly sub again, I would consider it again, but where I live I personally can’t justify the yearly sub cost when I can’t play all year (totally mental thing)

$199 on something that helps you to improve really isn’t bad compared to all the other expensive stuff us golfers spend money on.
Mine’s showing $155.88. Account was canceled in August.

That subscription is wild. Makes me glad I went with Garmin. Watch was pricy but after a couple seasons, it’ll have paid for itself if the sub is that much.
Arccos is great in concept, terrible in practice. All of their benefits are geared towards new users signing up. They don’t do anything to try and retain customers and continue to up the annual fees. It was fun to try out but it’s not worth the price they charge for it for how much you still need a watch/app to adjust it’s inaccuracies
Funny enough I just cancelled my subscription. It was about to renew and being that it’s Jan in NJ, I’m not going to be playing golf anytime soon. I’ll renew next time I play, most likely in the spring, but until then I’ll save some money. If anyone was wondering, I also ditched the sensors in favor of the grips with built in sensors. This has been so much better. I had a wedge where the sensor kept falling off and I even lost it during a round. Arccos as a whole is great and well worth the price, but I rather not pay for something unless I’m actively using it.

You have to use one of their watches, which comes with sensors, but there are no subscriptions with all the same features.

They really need to figure out a way to allow 6 month subs. I gave up on this after trial from new irons came with it. Huge waste of money when in my region you can only really golf 4-6 months out of the year.
Man. I just use a pencil and notebook and it cost me like 1.95
Bugs me that these sensors come with non-replaceable batteries and just become junk in the landfill over time. And you pay $199 a year for an app that still requires a lot of manual work to be useful. I was thoroughly unimpressed with the overall product after my trial

Well, in my experience the sensors last more than a year. I also paid $155 to renew.
What’s an Arccos? What are you subscribing to? Am I missing out on something?
Or just buy shotscope tags and call it a day. No sub.
Arccos have away the sensor free a few months ago.
Shot scope works pretty well. It’s not perfect, but I picked up everything for 180 and no subscriptions. I’m using the x5.

Only other ones I see mentioned here are Garmin and shot scope, my wife got me the Golf pad ones for Xmas. No subscription but their premium app is 30/year I think. Anyone have experience with em? Seems like they’ve been around.
Typical of tech these days. Subscriptions are essentially 90% margin and more hardware sales juices the YoY sales.
I have a set I’ll send somebody if they pay shipping. Idk how many still work but they’ve been in a box for a couple years after I stopped using them.
